Mohamed Afham, grade 6 student of Sulaimaniya College, has won the Under-13 Badminton Championship in the Single Category at the 2023 Kegalle District Badminton Championship. The event was held on 9th and 10th September at Kegalu Balika Vidyalaya.

We are proud of Afham's achievement and wish him all the best in his future badminton endeavors.

Sulaimaniya College's under 14 relay team has made it to the national level competition! They secured third place in the provincial athletic competition in Embilipitiya today. Congratulations to M.R. Azhan Ahamed, M.F. Abdurrahman, M.A.M Amhar, and M.N.M Aathif for their excellent performance, finishing the relay in 52.08 seconds.

Students participated in the EXSUL 2023 Inventors Competition at Sulaimaniya College, Kannattota! This incredible event, organized by Sulaimaniya Inventors Club under the Secondary Education Sector Improvement Program funded by Asian Development Bank, showcased some amazing inventions!

Notably, it was the FIRST time a student presented a Robot at the exhibition!

Thanks to all the students who participated, the school's SESIP coordinator for arranging this event, and the supportive staff who made it happen. The exhibition was open to students, making it an inspiring experience for all.

Today marks a significant day as we bid farewell to our principal, Mr. M.C Ibrahim Sir. With deep gratitude, we want to express our heartfelt thanks for his incredible dedication and unwavering commitment to our beloved Sulaimaniya College.

From his humble beginnings as an Economics Subject teacher in 2008, Mr. Ibrahim's journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Through his passion for education and leadership, he rose to the role of Principal in 2014. For the past 9 years, he has tirelessly worked to transform and enhance our school's environment.

Under his guidance, Sulaimaniya College has blossomed into a place of learning, growth, and unity. We are delighted to announce that the Welcome Event for our talented new students was held on the 18th of May 2023. It was an incredible gathering where parents, dedicated school staff, the School Development Committee, and the Old Boys' Association all participated with enthusiasm and support.

Before their official enrollment, our freshers had the opportunity to participate in a two-day orientation program. This program aimed to introduce them to the school's values, facilities, academic programs, and extracurricular activities.
